Melissa Ranger

Director, HR & People Development

Melissa Ranger has served as Director, People Development & Human Resources for Magna IV Engineering’s global operations for 10 years. Melissa brings over 20 years of diverse HR experience and is strategic partner to leadership in the organization while leading the HR and Training team. She provides expertise, coaching, consulting, and partnership to anticipate and plan for both short-term and long-term human capital requirements with the goal of surpassing organizational strategic objectives.
Prior to taking on her current role, Melissa served as Manager, HR at Shaw Communications Inc. leading a large team of high performing HR professionals across the company while providing strategic HR support to the executive team. Prior to this, she served in various HR generalist roles, over the span of 7 years, within Shaw Communications gaining a depth and breadth of experience across the full spectrum of HR.
Melissa began her career in HR with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts where she spent 3 years as an HR Coordinator after completing her Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources in Calgary, Alberta. She resides in Edmonton, AB with her husband and two children.
