We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Corporate Services in our Edmonton office. This position is a senior management position and will report to the CEO. The successful candidate will be accountable for all operational and leadership aspects of several Corporate Services Departments, including Safety, Electronics Services, Global Toolcrib, Quality Management and Facilities Management.



Work collaboratively with Senior Leadership to set objectives aligned with Magna’s overall goals for internal and external client service.
Organize, motivate, and coordinate Corporate Services teams for completion and implementation of projects and implementation of new processes.
Ensure the departmental teams meets and exceeds company financial objectives and goals
Assist in the preparation and implementation of the annual budgeting for Central Services
Foster a culture of accountability, consistency and urgency throughout the departments
Support direct reports to implement and execute effective people leadership practices including development of their team members performance management, training, recruitment, compensation and overall employee engagement and retention.
Oversee department resource needs based on estimated workload forecasts and execute recruitment.
Manage the performance of all direct reports through ongoing coaching, mentoring, recognition and performance management
Identify and develop team members to ensure we meet the highest performance standards while developing team members within their current role and for future roles;
Support and implement employee engagement practices to ensure we can attract and retain the best talent
Work collaboratively with all Magna Departments to leverage operational efficiencies, share resources, and encourage cross training and development between the teams as needed;
Be a leader, change manager, motivator and role model for Magna’s Vision, Mission, Value and culture
Foster an engaged and collaborative team environment

Business Units


Ensure ongoing Health & Safety program remains successful and recommend changes where required.
Understand the company’s safety program, policies, and procedures, and to create KPIs for the safety department.
Lead the Corporate Safety Officer in their delivery of a high-class safety program.


Review and update the Quality Management Program including training on any updates.
Determine needs for implementation of the Quality Management Program processes, procedures, and documents.

Electronics Services Department and Global Toolcrib Department

Review and update the Equipment and Inventory tracking program as required.
Ensure proper processes and policies for Vehicle Leasing and Rental are updated.
Implement a cost analysis and allocation methodology for equipment assets, across 8 operations centers.
Develop and execute a business plan for increased external revenue from Electronics Services and Toolcrib Rentals.
Lead the ESD Manager and Toolcrib Manager in their delivery of these services.


Coordinate ongoing maintenance for all locations and be the point person for landlord and tenant communication.
Negotiate leases and be the point person for new offices and expansions.
Coordinate internal office assignments and furnishings with operational leaders.
Coordinate and manage all off-site storage needs.
Work closely with IT on all Building Security items.

Collaboration with other Operations Departments

Collaborate with business units to understand internal and external client needs.
Complete annual budget for departments and report on financial results on a quarterly basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven visionary and big picture thinker with 10+ years of senior leadership experience who can foster change to quickly identify and implement efficiencies through collaboration.

Minimum 10 years of progressive business leadership, management of multi-business units as related to this position, and people leadership experience
Safety, Facilities, Quality Management experience (required)
Experience in dealing effectively and quickly with change in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
Certification in Project Management or Business Administration is an asset
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to foster change, engage, coach and motivate a large team to achieve organizational goals
Goal orientated with dedication to an exceptional client experience
Proven ability to proactively and effectively communicate with various cross functional stakeholders to achieve operational excellence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills that leverage relationships to achieve success both through direct and indirect authority
Strong business acumen
Ability to multi-task, exercise good judgment and prioritize workload through outstanding organizational skills
Highly motivated, energetic, passionate, and accountable to deliver results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with highly developed relationship management skills to interact with various levels within our organization
May require some travel
