Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Fleet Analyst to work in our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Technical Field Service Operations Manager, the Global Fleet Analyst will be accountable for the efficient use, care, maintenance, and growth of a global fleet of vehicles and electrical test equipment. 

Accountabilities

  • Manage and coordinate the fleet of vehicles; specifically coordinating maintenance appointments, mileage logs, rental vehicles, and other fleet duties
  • Manage the rental of test equipment Critically track and analyze the utilization of all rental and owned equipment
  • Provide succinct reports and presentations to senior management on the use and utilization of our global assets
  • Drive provable costs savings in equipment and truck rentals
  • Provide guidance and support to Toolcrib support services, such as procurement, shipping, and electronic equipment maintenance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of work within the team
  • Identify service area weaknesses and drive improvement
  • Drive improvement of processes to enhance departmental efficiencies and client service
  • Ensure all tools and equipment within the fleet meet the current requirements of the service teams
  • Ensure all equipment is off-loaded, inspected, stored or transported to lab for repairs etc
  • Ensure warehouse work is safely executed and all safe work processes are followed; incident reports, near miss reports are completed and investigated
  • Oversee shipping and receiving to ensure all goods are properly received, stored or routed to correct personnel/locations and all shipping by third party is completed 
  • Oversee inventory levels and controls (Including tools and test equipment) and ensure warehouse is properly stocked Provide assistance to the ToolCrib coordinator with various tasks during the peak periods of our business cycle:
    • Gather and prepare electrical test equipment and tools for shipment to project sites
    • Maintain adequate coverage of warehouse functions for off hours and short notice work requirements
    • Load/Unload shipments using Forklift Potential to lead future team members
    • Work with Global managers and Toolcrib coordinators to share equipment and best-practices for smooth operations
    • Aid other Edmonton Toolcrib team members, as needed, to stock & clean equipment, maintain fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Responsible for management and enhancement of the Fleet tracking tool. Specifically, management of the tool to ensure desired functionality is implemented – and regional Toolcrib coordinators are trained
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure Global Fleet activity is appropriately reflected in the Company’s financials
  • Responsible for the development and management of the Global Fleet ‘budget’ and periodic forecasts
  • Be a leader in safety

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Advanced knowledge of computer fleet tracking programs
  • 5+ years of industry related experience (within a warehouse or tool crib)
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment an asset
  • Proven success leading, motivating, developing and retaining team members
  • Entrepreneurial approach and drive for results
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work well independently
  • Dedicated and committed to providing exceptional client service to internal and external clients
  • Strong business acumen and relationship building skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic work environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing work
  • Professional team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal A positive, “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and Forklift Safety Certification required (training can be provided) WHMIS, TDG and Overhead Crane training would be an asset
