Overview

Husky Energy is a Canadian-based integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary, AB and has significant thermal projects. The majority of Husky’s heavy oil assets and thermal production are located in the Lloydminster region of Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Magna IV Engineering was engaged to perform medium and high voltage power system maintenance at Husky’s Bolney Heavy Oil Thermal facility, near Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.

Our scope of work included maintenance testing of the following equipment:

  • 25kV power transformers, cables
  • 480V MCCs, breakers, instrument transformers, motors and protective devices
  • IR Scanning of all electrical equipment prior to scheduled maintenance shutdowns

Our scope also included repairing previously identified deficiencies.
