With 61 turbines and a capacity of 180MW, the Meikle Wind project is the largest wind facility in British Columbia. Located approximately 33km north of Tumbler Ridge, this windfarm provides clean, renewable energy to the province, enough to power 54,000 homes.
Magna IV Engineering was engaged to provide power system commissioning services based on NETA Acceptance Testing guidelines for the facility's main substation.
Acceptance testing, functional testing, and inspections, of electrical substation equipment based on the standards developed between Borea Construction, BC Hydro and Magna IV Engineering, IEEE, NETA and NEMA standards, and Magna’s practices and procedures for acceptance testing.
