Substation Preventative Maintenance, Middle Fork Compressor Station

Overview

The Middle Fork Natural Gas Compressor Station in South West Colorado.

This compressor station in the Piceance Basin of Western Colorado is comprised of 8 electric compressors, powered by Toshiba 7,500 HP motors and has a capacity of approximately 300 million cubic feet per day.

The services of Magna IV Engineering were retained by Caerus Oil & Gas to perform high, medium and low voltage equipment maintenance testing on a 5-year rotation.

Complete maintenance testing, function testing, and inspection of the 230kV and 4160V electrical distribution equipment. All testing performed was based on standards developed with Caerus Oil and Gas, in alignment with IEEE, NETA and NEMA standards, as well as Magna's practices and procedures for maintenance testing.
