Lighting Design, Louise McKinney Park

Overview

The Louise McKinney Riverfront Park is a beautiful stop along North America's largest urban parkland. Located on the South edge of downtown Edmonton, along the North Saskatchewan River and spread out over 12.9 hectares of land, this civic attraction boasts elegantly designed lighting that illuminates the Plaza and Riverfront Promenade, Chinese Garden, Ukrainian Shumka Stage and walkways throughout the park.

Magna IV Engineering provided design and engineering services during construction of this multi-year project for the City of Edmonton. This included lighting and electrical design in many of the park’s facilities. In addition to walkway and feature lighting throughout the park, Magna IV Engineering also designed an electrical distribution system that supplies power for special events and festivals as well as an on-site building with washroom, maintenance and commercial space.
