Denver’s Metro Wastewater Reclamation District collects up to 130 million gallons of wastewater per day supplying to parts of northern Colorado and metropolitan Denver. The plant is committed to making wastewater safe for agriculture, marine life, water supply, industrial, and recreational usage.
Magna IV Engineering’s Denver team recently did an extensive job for the facility involving a 15-kV bushing swap. The process called for draining the oil level of about 300 gallons to reach the bushing level, swapping the bushing by climbing right into the tank, and refilling the transformer.
The team went back to check the site for leaks and were able to confirm a successful swap without any leaks.
