Propane Export Terminal - Engineering, Commissioning and Automation Support

Overview

The Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal (RIPET) is the first of its kind in Western Canada designed to ship 1.2 million tonnes of propane in 2019 to Asia.

Magna IV Engineering was initially contracted to conduct an engineering study on the high and medium voltage utility connection. This was shortly followed by a request to test and validate a 13.8kV cable prior to installation. The growing relationship with the client then led to Magna IV offering a full spectrum of commissioning and start-up support services. This included testing and commissioning of switchgear equipment, oil filled distribution transformers, high and medium voltage cables and DCS field commissioning support.
