Overview
WinSport is a not-for-profit organization that owns and operates Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta. This park includes Paskapoo Ski Hill, and was a host facility for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. It remains in use today as a world class facility for high performance athletic training and public recreation.
In 2020, WinSport engaged Magna IV Engineering to perform a 1MVA transformer upgraded replacement to feed more of their snow blowing machines and facility lighting.

Sizing calculations for the transformer, cable, and fuses
Procurement of transformer and required accessories
Sizing and procurement of precast concrete pad
Proctor compaction testing of soil beneath concrete
pad and transformer
Delivery and mounting of new transformer, concrete
pad, and accessories
Termination and tie-in to existing cable and ground
grid
Electrical acceptance testing of the oil-filled
transformer, and the existing cable
