Course Description
Electricity finds its way into virtually every corner of our workplace, bringing with it a very real and sizable set of hazards. Effective management of these unique hazards is absolutely critical to ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment. Magna IV Engineering has a thorough understanding of the technical and practical challenges involved with electrical safety, including arc flash and shock hazards. We have the experience and expertise to provide the knowledge required to properly identify all electrical hazards and to mitigate (if not eliminate) the risk associated with the hazards. This one-day course covers information regarding hazards present while installing, operating, maintaining or working near electrical equipment. It includes information from CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety in the Workplace, other relevant standards and legislative requirements. In addition, the course details work practices, guidelines, qualification requirements, PPE and tools necessary to work safely with or around electrical equipment. Specific arc flash study and PPE information can also be covered upon request.
